September 30, 2015 – UN Headquarter, New York: The Government of the Philippines and the Movement for Community-led Development co-hosted a side event during the 70th General Assembly designed to emphasize the critical importance of empowering communities to achieve the newly adopted Sustainable Development Goals.

The Philippines is home to one of the largest-scale community-led development programs launched in 2003. It has been funded by the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, the Millennium Challenge Corporation and others.
